Ben Rothwell graduated Canterbury Christ Church University with a BSc in Business Information Management, and then undertook a GTP leading to QTS status.
Ben started his career working in a selective boys grammar school in Kent, and then was later appointed into the role of Head of ICT at Kent College, Canterbury, a leading private school. In 2013, Ben moved into the primary education sector, moving to Dubai to teach at Victory Heights. Ben's passion is in the effective use of research to guide school improvement, both from a curriculum perspective but also in the development of effective pedagogy. Ben has been pivotal at introducing a new, knowledge rich curriculum in humanities and continues to drive improvement in this area.
Ben has received recognition for his input to education in the local sector, being named one of the 10 most influential educators by The Knowledge Review magazine. Ben is a founder member of the UAE Research Schools Network, and in 2019 received recognition as a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching.
